BTS - Natalia Chai's Album Cover Photoshoot

2018 started off BUSY! And this past weekend was no exception! In the midst of meeting new inspirational people, Chinese New Year celebrations, Motown Musical (Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL), and working on new music, yesterday's album photo shoot marks one of the last components to completing my LP! With the help from my two good friends, photographer Darren Gee and my #band-aid Danika Riedel together they made yesterday one for the books and I cannot wait to share them with you!

7:30am Hair and Make-Up Did!

Extremely happy to have met these beautiful ladies Reema (@reemakestudio) and Harpreet (@hairbyhapai_) who made me feel like an absolute super star getting my hair and make-up done at the same time!

11am-1pm The Photographer Studio @thephotographerstudiorental

Wished I could have caught just how much STUFF we had to bring with us - a small suitcase filled with clothes, a few items supplied by the wonderful Miriam from Original Apparel, my Casio LK-270 keyboard and of course Darren's backpack full of gear to work his magic behind the lens. Suggested by the one and only Darren Gee, The Photographer Studio was Part 1 of the album cover photoshoot and was this studio one of the most creative and inspirational spaces ever available to anybody! We rented Studio #2 which reflected the minimalistic, isolated mood and effect we were aiming for! Check out the studio space below courtesy of The Photographer Studio Website Gallery!

...Without giving away too much, just a couple BTS shots taken by Danika!

1-3pm LUNCH!! "Cuz We Hungry!"

3-5:30pm OUTDOOR SHOOT!

Although it was only -14 degrees outside, the arctic windchill made it feel like it was -32 degrees to me! Yes I took the pictures with no gloves, no scarf and no jacket and tried not to look like I was freezing to death, when in reality I couldn't feel my fingers, my whole face, and basically my own being as we ran back and fourth to our cars to warm up and then repeated for each location we shot at! #canadianwinters

Thanks to Darren and his photographer eye and intuition for scoping out hidden gems in #YEGDT!

Nevertheless this was an amazing shoot and I can't wait to take this out of hiding and share with you all!
